Yesterday, Councilman Bobby Henon announced details for the Day of Play Extravaganza, a free, active-play event for kids. The only kids-focused event during the DNC, the Day of Play will provide play-based activities, nutrition information and overall wellness programming while connecting kids to the Convention.
The Day of Play was designed to showcase the fun, active, outdoor opportunities Philadelphia has to offer for the families of delegates attending the DNC and for city residents.
The Day of Play Extravaganza will be held on Wednesday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dilworth Park, next to City Hall. Kids of all ages are welcome, however activities are best suited for children 7-12 years old.
The Day of Play Extravaganza is being organized jointly by Philly Play and Health Promotion Council (HPC), an affiliate of Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC).
