Councilman Bobby Henon announced that his office will provide one scholarship to the Philadelphia City Planning Commission's Citizens Planning Institute (CPI), which teaches Philadelphia residents how to participate in the community development process by teaching them about the Zoning Code and related planning processes, for its next cohort.
The scholarship recipient is Holmesburg resident Tara L. Gontek. Tara is actively involved in the Holmesburg Civic Association, Lower Holmesburg Town Watch and the 15th Police District Advisory Council (PDAC). Tara is excited to participate in CPI and hopes that the knowledge she gains in the program will help her to better serve her community and the groups with which she is involved.
The scholarship is valued at $100 and covers the cost of the course's core classes and two electives.
