Bobby believes that rebuilding Philadelphia's manufacturing industry will not only grow the grow the local economy, but also create a better future for the city's families. However, Bobby recognizes that old style manufacturing is declining. As a result, he is actively recruiting new, advanced manufacturing opportunities and offering incentives to existing businesses that provide living wages and secure benefits to employees.
As a Councilman, he has put Philadelphia first and led the push to make the city a manufacturing hub through legislation and his role as co-chair of the Manufacturing Task Force, which was charged with evaluating the current state of manufacturing in the city and drafting a report to serve as a road map for growing the industry.
